Ready Player One is a movie directed by Steven Spielberg. It is a science fiction action adventure based on Ernest Cline’s bestseller of the same name, which has become a worldwide phenomenon. The film is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the Oasis, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday. In the Oasis, you can go anywhere, do anything, and be anyone; the only limit of reality is your imagination.
I prepared a worksheet to practice the second conditional using the Oasis as an inspiration to make sentences about unlikely situations. First, you will find some questions to use as a warm-up and to practice speaking. Second, students will write a short paragraph about what they would do if they could go into the Oasis.
