The Umbrella Academy - Past simple

The Umbrella Academy is a television series based on the comic books series by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. This story is about a dysfunctional family of 7 adopted siblings with superpowers. They reunite to solve the mystery of their father's death and the threat of an imminent apocalypse. 

The following worksheet will help you practice Past Simple. It summarizes the story behind The Umbrella Academy's characters. The students will complete the text with the verbs in brackets into the Simple Past. I'd recommend using this activity with high teens and adults. I leave you the link for both a PDF and a google presentation version for this activity. Also, you can introduce it by showing the students the official trailer for the series by Netflix.
