Anne with an E is a Canadian television series adapted from Lucy Mongomery's, Anne of Green Gables. Anne with an E is a beautiful coming-of-age story about an outsider who fights for acceptance, her place in the world, and love. To do these tasks, we will use a clip from episode 6 of season 3. The town is at the Island Fair, where Marila is known for her Plum Puffs while Matthew competes with his vegetables for a prize. Anne is joining them with her “Mary cake” but will things go wrong for our
protagonist?
The following presentation will help your students practice there is and there are. The students will watch the clip and complete sentences using there to be. Also, you can find a writing activity where the students will describe their fair using there to be. If you want to see more activities based on Anne with an E or other Netflix series please let me know in the comments section. I hope you use this with your students! Thanks for reading.
